We bought our dream house in October 2016, but it was plagued with water intrusion, high humidity, and mold issues in the crawlspace. On top of that, the crawlspace conditions, as well as some equipment failure, had destroyed the old fiberglass ducts on our 5 ton HVAC system.

I called First Class to quote just the duct replacement. Sean was extremely knowledgeable, and while he was at the house, he recommended I get an inspection of the crawlspace done by Allen, their in-house home performance expert. Allen was able to inspect the crawlspace the next day. His experience was unmatched by any of the crawlspace companies that had already provided us quotes. He explained how his approach to crawlspace drainage, insulation, and encapsulation would solve our problem for life, and also how we could apply for energy efficient rebates. Allen is not a pushy salesman, and he knows what he's doing.

Both Sean and Allen provided quotes within 24 hours. They then worked with me over the course of two weeks on every little detail that I wanted accounted for in the project. Allen's attention to detail and value proposition even convinced me to let them handle the installation of new perimeter drainage and sump pumps, which I had planned to do myself.

We then entrusted First Class with the whole project end-to-end. They handled a full supply and return duct replacement on our main system (as well as many other small HVAC fixes and upgrades), coordinating with an energy auditor to perform the testing we needed to apply for rebates, coordinated a mold remediation company to clean the crawlspace before encapsulation, new French drain and sump pumps, new electric to the crawlspace for the pumps, and full crawlspace insulation, air sealing, and encapsulation. They were able to start only days after we signed the contract, and then worked under our house for almost 3 weeks straight. Their crew managers communicated with me throughout the whole project and made sure no tiny detail was missed. They were extremely polite when communicating with my wife, who was home on maternity leave while they worked.

We have total piece of mind about our crawlspace now, and they did it for a better price than some of the leading crawlspace companies in the area. We will be using them again for a service contract and for when we need the other HVAC system replaced or upgraded.

Just wanted to say thank you to Blake Hitch for his professionalism and outstanding customer service! I had never used First Class before and I needed a new hot water heater and thought I wanted to go to a tankless. I went thru the Home Depot website and they referred me to First Class. Blake came out last week to do a quote. He listened to what I wanted (or thought I wanted) and explained to me how a tankless really worked. He then discussed the other options I had. I made the decision that evening and a week later here he was with his helper and installed my new hot water heater. I had to do NOTHING! He ordered it, picked it up and delivered it to my home. Proceeded to remove the old one and installed the new one. Made sure All was working as it should, registered it and even processed the extended warranty. I literally had to do nothing!! Very unusual on the Eastern Shore to receive this quality customer service. Being in the customer service field I more than appreciated. First Class is lucky to have an employee of this caliber! We recently had our crawl space encapsulated and our air conditioning units replaced courtesy of First Class. We could not have been more satisfied with the service and professionalism of the sales men and both crews who worked at our house. Duane, who sold the AC units, was prompt and thorough in evaluating our situation and recommending what would best meet our AC needs. In the beginning of September(when the temps were in the 90's)our central A/C died. We called and they sent a technician named Mike who found the problem and got it up and running at a reasonable price. Yesterday(9/21/16)our unit quit again and we called this morning and Mike came back and found the part needed to be replaced. In very short order the unit was once again humming along! Excellent service and we will be using this company again when the need comes along! Since the part was warrantied-there was N/C which is wonderful.
